Conversations between students in London, Berlin and Istanbul
London Metropolitan University began a vocational education project which aims to bring young Turkish speaking people to talk about talking Turkish the creative employment sectors in radio, film and interior design. Balik Arts and London Open College Network from England, Esta Bildungswerk gGmbH and Kinder - Jugend - und Kulturzentrum "Naunynritze" from Germany, Esta Danismanlik and  PERA from Turkey are all VOLICITY partners.

We held a 'dialogue' for participating students at the City Radio studios in September 2007 to discuss the project online via MSN and live radio broadcast. Anchoring the dialogue in London were Balik Arts Radio Publishing students (Sezen, Kemal, Gülser and Ferda). From Istanbul we had Pera Fine Arts Interior Design and Decoration students and from Berlin we had Film Production students from Naunynritize. During the program, young people had the opportunity to interview each other for the first time. The students from Turkey asked questions to the Balik radio students about life styles, education and social conditions of the young Turkish speaking people in living in London.

In general, the students in Istanbul asked questions and the students in London answered. The same questions were also asked to the students in Germany. The students in Germany asked questions about the differences between education systems in Germany and in England. We would like to thank to the manager of City Learning Centre for allowing us use the radio studio facilities for our transnational dialogue.
